man of sorrows

there is this old hymn and the words are;

"Man of Sorrows! what a name 

For the Son of God, Who came 

Ruined sinners to reclaim. 

Hallelujah! What a Savior!"

as i heard these words being sung one day i decided to dig into what a 'man of sorrows' means.

sorrow is defined as; a feeling of deep distress caused by loss, disappointment or other misfortune suffered by oneself or others

deep distress cause by loss are the words that jumped off the page at me.

distress is defined as; anxiety, sorrow or pain

loss is defined as; feeling of grief when deprived of someone or something

as i prayed about this and dug into this He spoke to me.

His heart breaks for us. He longs to be in a relationship with us. He longs to talk to us, to sit and chat with us. He wants us. all of us. He cares about us. He loves us. He created us. He has a perfect plan for each one of us. He is God.
