the beauty of butterflies.

it seems to me that things are always changing. since i graduated high school almost 3 years ago now, my life has been filled with nothing but change. i've travelled heaps, moved cities, switched jobs, started school, ended school, seen friendships end, made new friends and the list goes on and on. as change comes up in my life i usually just brace for impact and go with the flow according to what God says. and it seems just as i get comfortable something comes up and changes.

change is here again. welcome back old friend. this time around its change at my new church. i moved to calgary in september of 2011. and found an amazing church in like october or something crazy quick like that. i started finally feeling like i was at home there in january. then in march they announced there is going to be 'big changes' in our young adults which i was oddly heaps stoked for. when they announced the changes more specifically, i was not having peace about it. as i talked it over with some friends i understood more and was excited for what was to come. as tomorrow marks the last 'love is' service i'm starting to get quite sad. i have only been apart of it for a short while but i was comfortable there and encountering God so much. i know that won't be part of the change. but tomorrow is about celebration. love is is always a celebration about what God is doing and how He is moving in us. but tomorrow will be different. this ministry has changed people, lives and hearts. and although its getting a face lift it will still be an amazing ministry. its safe to say that i'm excited for what God has planned for the new look of the young adults and youth ministry of C3.

although that is the good part of this change there is always some sad parts. we have to say goodbye to some amazing friends and leaders as they move on to plant another church. i find it much easier to see people go when i know God's in it.

so here's to love is and the people. we've had an amazing run together. i'm so glad i found you guys and so thankful to God that it happened. i'm excited to see jump into this new season with you guys and see where God takes us. remember, if there wasn't change, this world would have no butterflies. and thats the beauty of God. He makes all things works together for our good and makes beauty out of change.

come and celebrate with us as we close the doors of an amazing ministry and open wide the doors of a new one :)
