its been a while. i don't really have anything to update you guys on. i know i left some loose ends in my last blog. and i'm sad to say i won't be tying them up for a bit yet. sorry folks!
over the past few years i've spent a lot of time working on healing hurts. i've always pictured my healing journey as a long dark walk in the forest with a lamp post dimly lit at the end. as i journey in taking steps toward the lamp post, i feel God working. it hurts. but its worth it. in the past 4 months i feel like i've taken huge steps and i'm so close to reaching the lamp. like a handful of steps away. i know what the next one is. and i know its going to be one of the hardest steps i've taken in this journey. i am still praying about how to begin to take this step.
i know i need to. i know it will be hard. i know it will hurt. i know i'll be ok.
i know God will be with me.

its so nice to know the end is near in this particular healing journey. its also nice to know that i'm not alone. i have friends walking along side me and i also have a God who cares so much about me my human brain can't even fathom it.

i encourage you to pray and ask God where in your heart needs mending. and when He ends up ripping off the bandaid to heal the wound, surround yourself with loved ones whom you can confide in and let God begin to heal you. let the scars remind you of how great God is. how strong He is. how much He loves you.
“Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord."
